Artist Statement:
The Rock dwarfs the Oceanside town of Morro Bay as you pull down the CA coastal highway. From different perspectives you can see it as something out of a fantasy film, and then you turn around to see the old beach town with it’s salted shacks and sun crisped faces. Each day is new on the coast, and one feature can be seen thousands of ways without ever feeling the repetition. I wonder if that’s how people live their lives in these solitary places.
