Artist Statement

Castles made of sand, melt into the sea…The first sunset that my partner and I experienced when driving up to the Oregon Coast during the covid pandemic years. The beaches were quiet, and the sunset greeted us with incredible fireworks of pinks purples and hues of bright end of day blues. These castles may outlast all of us but still, in the end, they will drift into the sea. This photo is a dedication to holding their memories, and to holding all of our memories, while we can and while they last.
